That’s right, you read the title correctly! Counterpoint Music Festival has just announced that they are not going to be getting rid of car camping this year. Since the original announcement of the festival taking away the car camping feature this year, people were not all pleased about it. Many complaints came pouring in via social media to bring it back. Here is the statement from Counterpoint on their website about the resurrection of car camping:

“You spoke, we listened. Car Camping is back at CounterPoint this year! Now you have the option of using your ride as home base for the weekend.

GA Car Camping:

GA Car Camping Passes will be available for the discounted price of $75 from January 26th through February 2nd. There are a limited number of discounted Car Camping Passes, so grab yours before they sell out and return to their regular price of $100.

They are also available bundled with Rapid Access, a separate vehicle entry point that skips most of the line into Kingston Downs for $110 on January 26th, which will increase to $135 starting February 2nd.”

If you have already purchased your tickets for Counterpoint, do not fret. They are also allowing you to add the car camping passes to your order.

“To update your order to include Car Camping, please:

Place an order for your new Car Camping Pass by visiting Counterpointfestival.com
Make note of your order numbers for your old Parking Pass & your new Car Camping Pass as well as the last 4 digits of the credit card(s) used for these purchases.
Contact Front Gate Tickets with your order numbers & last 4 digits of your credit card(s) by email info@frontgatetickets.com or calling 888.512.SHOW (7469). Phone Call Center hours are 9AM-9PM CST Mon-Sat; closed Sunday.
Front Gate Tickets will refund you for the Parking Pass you originally purchased. You’re done!”

They also stated that if you have VIP or Platinum passes, you will automatically be granted car camping passes as well. So there is no need for you to update your order if you have one of the two upgraded tickets. They are going to make a lot of people happy with this new change that they have made. Although people should not let this be the deciding factor as to whether or not they attend the festial this year, it was still a great move in the right direction to winning back some of the people who were upset about it.
