August is that time of year where you really begin to ITCH for that end of summer music therapy. (Or is it just us??) Luckily, DEEP TROPICS music, art, and style festival sounds like the perfect place to get our festival fix. On August 24th and 25th, the tropics will come back to Bicentennial Park, in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee.
The music choices alone are attention grabbing, and it feels just like the amount of electric jungle bass and house sounds we are looking for. With artists such as AMTRAC, Keys N Krates, Cashmere Cat, WhatSoNot, Shiba San, Troyboi, and Mija, the amazing vibe is already set.
Here is just a taste of the music we will be experiencing:

The fun doesn’t start there though! With pre-parties on August 23rd with Dr. Fresch and Earthgang, you already know this energy is about to be DOPE! An appealing aspect of the festival isn’t only their SUPER affordable prices, it’s that the main sound stage, where all of the headliners will be playing, has no schedule conflicts! Don’t miss the other talented artists and performers at The Waveclub, Tranquil Temple. and The Surf Club Sound Systems. All three stages come equipped with unique beats, skate culture, workshops, and pool parties.
Something that really sets this festival apart from the rest is their complete focus on sustainability. Not only are they devoted to throwing a great party, but also to helping save the planet! This year, a portion of their proceeds will go to the greenways of Nashville, which happen to begin right at the location of the fest!
Here is a small list of Earth friendly amenities that they will be providing:
R-cup (reusable cups) They also encourage attendees to bring their own EMPTY water bottles!
Pocket Ash-trays to store your tobacco waste
Organic food, beverage, and wellness options. ALL with compostable plates, straws and utensils!
Recycling and compost centers
Free Alkaline water fill-up stations brought to you by L.O.V.E. Water
They are also aiming to create a deep community of permaculture and holistic healing, and inviting anyone who may be interested in attending the festival to share with others their knowledge, creativity, and passion for human culture to keep the conversation going. Zoe Yarborough, a community member with Deep Tropics, says “We really think there is something for everyone at this festival. People don’t even KNOW what else is in store.” We are excited to experience this first hand!
Deep Tropics is a STYLE festival as well, so be prepared for Raver’s Choice to be out and about searching for the best festival looks and creativity throughout the weekend. (Tag @raverschoice in your posts for a chance to be featured!)
